Fools Play extends a heartfelt “Thank you!” to everyone who came out to see us in 2009. You’re invited to enjoy another year of live improvised comedy every Saturday at 8:00 pm at Mud Bay Coffee.

Christmas came and went and we are still standing. Do you know what is exciting? We still have many ways for you to spend all that gift money that seems to burning a hole in your wallet. Just in time for all this foul weather thats moving in, we have hoodies!!

Just think of how nice it will feel to curl up in your new Mud Bay Coffee sweatshirt with a steaming cup (a new Mud Bay Coffee Mug  of course) of (insert favorite beverage here) to watch the raindrops splattering in the mud puddles outside your window.

Also, look for some new faces behind the counter in the coming days, and be sure to welcome them along with the New Year.

We’re waiting!!

We thought we would bring some holiday cheer to your Monday morning with a bit of great news.

This week only, you can pick up our wonderful bags of whole bean coffee for only $9 regular, and $10 for decaf and Holiday Blend. Nobody has prices these good for “top shelf” coffees. Come in and buy some bags for the whole family while they last.

Also, we have stocking-stuffer…everything, it just depends on the size of your stocking.

Our newest product is one of those of the smaller persuasion, CHAI!!! 5 oz bottles of our fabulous chai concentrate (regular and spicy) are only $6 per bottle and yield 1/2 gallon of  chai latte goodness.

It’s our huge Christmas show, Fools Play Santa’s Lap!. You get a present from Jolly Old St. Nick and oodles of hilarious improv as well. Don’t miss out on this holiday spectacular.

After an entire week, we are still absolutely thrilled with our Holiday Blend. Our shelves are stocked and your needs are caffeine-derived….seems like a perfect match. Combine that with our new mugs and you have a recipe for keeping at least one part of your body warm (unless you spill). We will be roasting more Holiday Blend today so you can try it at the shop this weekend. Do swing by.

We have just stepped away from the cupping table and have a Holiday Blend to assuage the masses. If you like a generous helping of fruit, a creamy layer of chocolate, a perfectly full mouthfeel topped off with a floral aroma, then you need to get some of whats happening here. It also makes an amazing espresso for you home espresso enthusiasts.

I’m frankly speechless.

If you didn’t already think we were the greatest thing since peanut butter (if you know me, you know how important peanut butter is to me), now you have reason to believe.

We will open our doors Thanksgiving day from 8 am – 3 pm.

I don’t really speak spanish so its likely that I just destroyed “Lake of Fire” in my futile attempt to create a good blog title. Oh well…we can’t all be linguists.

Speaking of fire, I would like to draw your attention to a new product we are carrying. Instead of being limited by only one amazing chai, we have broadened your horizons by offering two!! If you like to have a bit of heat in your chai, we now have a wonderful chai latte experience to dazzle your senses and liven your day.

Not to worry, our new chai comes from the same people who make our regular chai so you don’t have to worry about losing an old favorite. Just to make it better, it STILL doesn’t have any high-fructose corn syrup to spike you into a diabetic coma.

For those of you who like your chai a little dirty, this is a perfect balance of sweet, properly pulled espresso and a gingery tingle that should make your head spin comfortably.
